Abstract

Education is fundamental in the development of the human being, in which the teacher exercises great importance as a mediator of knowledge, culture and social values, therefore, it is necessary to have teachers willing to transform education, since we are the actors permanent aspects of the teaching and learning process. For this purpose, this research work is presented, which aims to promote teacher training and its continuous updating as a strategy for the improvement of Professional Performance at the Francisco de Miranda School, located in Upata, Bolívar State, using the Participatory Action Research methodology. and transformative, with a socio-critical and humanistic approach, to analyze the problem situation, reflect and act in favor of quality education. An interview was applied about teaching training and performance; In addition, an action plan was carried out from the school to improve their professional performance and achieve educational quality, through groups and training sessions, workshops, exchange of educational experiences, planning sessions and training groups. It should be noted that an educator who prepares and updates his knowledge has a considerable impact on the actions, way of thinking and acting of his students.
